Well I personally thought the Pagani Zonda was the most stunning supercar for style, looks, grace and power. Perhaps I have a differing opinion now. This will give the Zonda some really stiff competition, as well as the McLaren F1.
Pagani has revealed its successor to the popular Zonda supercar on January 26, 2011, the Huayra - named for Aymara Huayra Tata, an ancient South American god of wind.
The Huayra takes more than a few cues from its predecessor, with a complex but aerodynamically-focused exterior, and an extravagant interior with a luxurious old-world look.
Weighing in at 1350kg with a 44:56 rear-biased weight distribution, the Huayra is powered by a 6.0 litre twin-turbo V12 sourced from Mercedes-Benz' AMG division, producing 525kW and a heady 1000Nm of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-disc clutch transmission, weighing just 95kg.
The sprint to 100km/h is covered in just 3.2 seconds (more hardcore versions will undoubtedly arrive), with top speed listed at an astonishing 370km/h.
While not quite in Bugatti Veyron (431km/h) and SSC Ultimate Aero TT (412km/h) territory, (which we have featured previous on Ultimate Cars Channel) the Huayra's top speed puts it in the company of the Koenigsegg CCR (388km/h) and the legendary McLaren F1 (372km/h).
It's worth noting however that the Huayra's listed top speed is direct from the company, while the other figures have been confirmed by Guinness World Records.
Helping the Huayra achieve its blistering top speed is a number of aerodynamic advancements, including a pair of flaps hidden behind the front grille that work together with similar flaps at the rear, adjusted by the ECU to deal with yaw, lateral acceleration, steering angle and throttle position.
In corners, the flaps closest to the inside edge are activated, increasing downforce on the inside wheels and limiting body roll.

Pagani Huayra - Part II
In Monterey, California, Italian supercar manufacturer Pagani Automobili S.p.A. publicly introduced its all-new supercar, the Huayra, to crowds of automotive enthusiasts during the events leading up to the famed Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, Calif. last week.
Design
Named after Huayra, an ancient God of wind, the Huayra was first publicly seen at Gordon McCall’s Motorworks Revival 2011 and then again at Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, where hundreds of the most influential car enthusiasts, journalists, educators and industry executives met to see the car up close.
Horacio Pagani, founder and chief designer of Pagani Automobili, was on-hand to answer questions personally. The car boasts a revolutionary design, represents the state-of-the-art mechanics and features a Mercedes-AMG engine with more than 700 horsepower.
The demand and enthusiasm about Huayra is great all over the world. The first deliveries for the American market will start in 2013 and will absorbe the production until 2014,.
As declared by Horacio Pagani, Pagani Automobili will sell a limited number of cars also in the U.S. market, infact, despite the production increase compared to the Zonda, the small number of cars available in every market will make the object even more exclusive
The Zonda is also the supercar, together with the Mclaren F1, that keeps the value more than any other car.

The Zonda received the 2001 “Car of the Year” award from British performance car magazine Evo and the 2002 “Performance Car of the Year” and “Specialist Manufacturer” awards from Car magazine and AutoCar respectively.
The Zonda further cemented its status as one of the world’s premier high-performance cars in 2002 and 2007 by setting the Nurburgring circuit record for road homologated cars; the Zonda R currently holds the lap record.
Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson crowned the Zonda R as the 2010 Jeremy Car of the Year.
